Emotional Well-Being Research Summit, sponsored by the M3EWB Network.
Summit Application is Closed
The Summit aims to bring together a cross-disciplinary group of researchers to discuss their ongoing and developing activities associated with advancing the science of emotional well-being. Further information about critical issues in advancing an EWB research agenda can be found in the 2022 article by Park and colleagues in the recent issue of Affective Science.
The Summit is designed as a professional learning opportunity in EWB research, particularly for those who are interested in research aligned with mechanisms underlying mind-body interventions and measurement of EWB across the life course. The main structure involves an opportunity to solicit feedback on planned or ongoing work through a Data Blitz format. This format focuses on early-stage work, giving the presenter a brief opportunity (10 min) to share “big ideas” along with questions/challenges, which is then followed by open group discussion and feedback (20 min).
The Summit will be hosted concurrently with the APS Conference in Washington DC and will be held on Thursday, May 25th from 12-6.
Attendance at the Summit is limited to 20 participants. Invited participants will be those who are actively developing or conducting research relevant to emotional well-being, and particularly those who (1) identify as early career scholars and (2) are engaged in work aligned with the aims of the M3EWB network. Priority will be given to those applicants engaged in a 2023 M3EWB Mentoring Program.
There is no cost to attend. Light refreshments will be provided. We strongly encourage you to apply early to take advantage of the opportunity to collaboratively advance the science of emotional well-being.
Application Deadline: March 24, 2023. Anticipate award notifications in April 2023.
